Regelmatig doe ik een search over de mensen en de zaken die me interesseren op google.  Soms doe ik ook een search op mijn naam of op de naam van mijn vrouw… Wel, daar ben ik daarstraks van geschrokken.  Ik tikte mijn naam in en kwam op de tweede pagina deze link tegen…

Dat is dus een (korte) samenvatting van

Maybe because it’s ok to stay here?

You ask yourself what it wold be like anywhere else… if it would be better.  Moving abroad with your family to a far, far away place.  We thought of doing just that last year in January.  Destination USA… where?  No idea where, but that’s why we booked a 3 week vacation with the kids to see the US.  We saw the Eastcoast (NY city) for just a few days and then we flew to LA to get to see the Westcoast.  Travelled around for 2 weeks in a mobile home and had a great time.  But the idea of moving faded very fast.  It’s a great country, we all really loved it, but to go and live there?… naaaa, I don’t know…

So conclusion: we can all fly away, like these birds, but in the end it’s what we’re used to… even if the government fails to do what they have to do, or the going down the drain of our community because of sooo many wrong ways to make things right… even then it seems logical to stay put.

Ik ben eindelijk gaan tanken… Na 970 kilometer… Zoals ik in een vorige post had geschreven, was ik aan het proberen om te zien hoever ik kon rijden als ik zuinig zou rijden met mijn Q7, niet écht een toonbeeld van zuinigheid.
